Now I'm an investor in Substack

I FOMOd into worse things with more money.

I pledged the minimum amount, $100 to Substack, during their crowdfunding run, that went beyond the $2 million mark in 3 hours and it stands at 3.6$ million as of this post.

This platform, after fees and — future — taxes earned me more already. Felt karmically right to give some of it back. 🙏🏻

Valued at around $600 mil, it’s still a cheap tech startup. I hope they spend some of it on resolving their ridiculous custom domain implementation, besides burning it on signing more Big Names.

Soon I can sign my support emails as an “investor”. The Hungarian forint’s also strong against the USD, so the timing couldn’t be better.

March went by with one big megapost, and the past 4 posts were all AI related; I regret nothing, from mid-February until now the ML field had an explosion like no other, so it took priority, and these posts so far aged well. The number of subscribers increased by 50% in the past 40 days.

I had a lot of good but labor-intensive change in my Real Life, leaving less for this Substack.

Things are in the pipeline. I just invested in Substack, that should be a better proof of my commitment than any promise of future posts, and now there are more of you than ever.

Things in April should pick up speed.
