I stumbled upon a Tweet from 2019, Trump 45’s 3rd year in office. I often call his first presidency impotent, which is harsh, but fair.
If you disagree, please
“Good meetings today in State and NGOs. Then Charles Gati and an interview with Rolling Stone. Some more meetings to go.”
MZP (the tall one): One of Orban’s main rivals between 2018-2022, PM candidate of the united opposition from the fall of 2021. Once he becomes the candidate, his campaign is showered with State Dept./USAID/NGO money.
Zoltán Kész (the short one): somewhat autonomous opposition player, at this time the right hand of MZP. Deep in the Hunglish NGO Twitter to this day, per his feed.
Charles Gati (the old one): US-based veteran swamp creature focusing on telling the world (Hungarian media) that Orban = Hitler.
What’s more important about Charles is that he’s also been telling the world (Hungarian media) that Trump = Hitler. He just did it yesterday, but back in 2019, a month before this picture was taken, he was telling the world (Hungary) how hopeful he is about Trump’s impeachment.
This crew, being warmly received by the extended US State Department, is looking for support to defeat Orban, who is Trump’s most loyal supporter in Europe, who has been since he was running for the presidency in 2016:
Orban endorsed Trump in 2016, and in the past 8 years he never wavered when support for The Donald came up. Not even in the darkest of times—after his defeat, after the latest worst scandal, during his prosecution—did he waver.
Orban kept his dick in the nettle for Trump; he did it for 8 wild years, most of which Trump was either a lame president, unable to accomplish any of his promises, or a loser, to be tarnished, banished, punished and humiliated.
This is Trump 45’s State Department. This is Trump 45’s USAID funding the NGOs. These people, who are either explicitly or implicitly hostile to Trump 45 are openly bragging about getting funding from these institutions.
Why did Trump 45 let this happen? Because he had no idea, and even if he knew about it, he had bigger problems, he was forced to play defensive since day one, and lacked the loyal troops to accomplish anything. The Wall wasn’t built.
Trump 45 was a failure. Trump 47 learned from 45’s mistakes, and so did many others who joined his crew since.
USAID, for now, is down.
Gati’s fresh article starts with the famous Niemöller quote, laments the funding cuts, and ends on Auschwitz.
If we remove the 🚨NAZI ALARM🚨, it’s a lament about the funding cuts.
You know more about the US than 99% of Americans.
Taking you with a grain of paprikas...and in that spirit disagree that Trump 45 was a failure.
